The women’s archery team from Team GB is currently facing Germany. It’s proving challenging against the No6 rated team, as GB trails early on.

Strong start for Team GB in gymnastics

Team GB is performing well in the women’s gymnastics qualifiers.

Becky Downie showcased an impressive bars routine, likely securing her place in the individual final.

Team captain for athletics named

Great Britain has announced their captain for the upcoming athletics events, starting later this week.

Josh Kerr, the 1500m world champion, will aim to secure Olympic gold in addition to his title.

Today’s schedule highlights

It’s an action-packed day with Team GB’s women competing for team and individual finals, in the first sub-division.

Duncan Scott and Matt Richards will contest the 200m freestyle heats starting at 10am, while flag bearer Helen Glover will be competing in rowing from 11:30am.

Later, all eyes will be on Adam Peaty as he strives for his third consecutive gold in the 100m breaststroke final scheduled for 8:40pm.

Andy Murray prepares for doubles

Today marks an exciting day as Andy Murray is set to compete in the men’s doubles this afternoon.

He will team up with Dan Evans against the Japanese duo Kei Nishikori and Taro Daniel. It may be his last match, but let’s hope not!

Controversial athlete competes in beach volleyball

The most polarizing athlete of the Olympics is about to take the court this morning.

Convicted child rapist Steven van de Velde is set to compete for the Netherlands in beach volleyball against Italy.

He will be on court very shortly.
