Key events
Since 2016, a brief video that illustrates why Spa is recognized as one of the fastest and most cherished racetracks.
Even starting from 11th place, there’s a strong concern that Max Verstappen’s new Red Bull engine will allow him to quickly navigate through the field.
Lando Norris stated, “We find ourselves in a positive position, but it’s clear that Red Bull has the advantage in speed. It will be a challenge. Max is expected to move up quickly, and there’s a high chance he will be competing with us for the victory, posing a threat to our lead at some point.”
Last race featured quite a drama among the McLaren team.

Preamble
Following the intense competition with Lewis Hamilton in 2021, Max Verstappen faces an even greater challenge this season. McLaren’s improved speed, which has placed additional pressure on him, has contributed to a series of emotional moments and misjudgments. Despite delivering a stellar performance at Spa, a new engine introduced a 10-spot grid penalty for his vehicle. As a result, he will launch from 11th, with Charles Leclerc benefiting from this chain of events, compounded by Lando Norris’s poor performance.
