Republican vice presidential hopeful JD Vance addressed Democratic frontrunner Kamala Harris at a campaign rally held in St. Cloud, Minnesota, on Saturday.

In a 45-second YouTube clip shared on July 16, Harris claimed that Vance would be “loyal only to Trump, not to our country,” labeling him a “rubber stamp for [Trump’s] extreme agenda.”

During the rally shared with Trump, Vance responded to Harris’s attack by highlighting his own record of service in the Marine Corps, entrepreneurship, and criticizing Harris’s performance regarding the border crisis.

“Recently, Kamala Harris challenged my loyalty to this country. That’s her word; loyalty. It’s a significant word. Semper Fi: loyalty. Because there is no greater display of disloyalty to this nation than what Kamala Harris has executed at our southern border,” Vance stated.

The senator from Ohio continued to criticize Harris’s record as the border czar during President Joe Biden’s tenure.

“And I would like to pose a question to the vice president: What has she done to question my loyalty to this nation? I served in the U.S. Marine Corps. I deployed to Iraq for this country. I started a business for this country.”

Vance enforced his point: “My running mate put himself in harm’s way to protect this nation. So my question for Kamala Harris is, what have you done to challenge our loyalty to the United States of America?”

After the audience erupted in applause, Vance provided his own answer.

“And the answer, my friends, is nothing. So let’s convey a message to the media. Let’s relay a message to Kamala Harris. Let’s send a message to every diligent patriot from Minnesota to across the nation. We are prepared to bring back President Donald J. Trump, and we will work tirelessly to ensure it occurs,” he concluded.

A Fox News poll published on Friday indicates former President Trump has 46% support in Minnesota, while Vice President Harris holds 52%.
