While a new “Bachelor” series is set to debut in September, the formula remains largely unchanged. The focus is still on finding love through plenty of on-screen kissing.

Joan Vassos, unveiled as the inaugural “Golden Bachelorette” in May, acknowledges that she will be kissing multiple men throughout her season after sharing a kiss with “Golden Bachelor” Gerry Turner last year.

A recent promo for her season, shared by People magazine, features Vassos being asked by her daughter how she feels about “kissing another guy on TV.”

“Oh wow, I’ll need to get comfortable with that, because you can’t be with someone you don’t want to kiss. So I guess I’ll have to try it out,” Vassos is heard saying to her children, and both her mother and mother-in-law.

“I’ll probably kiss quite a few guys on camera, I apologize, everyone,” she shared with her family, much to the surprise of her children.

“Quite a few?” her son Nick questioned.

“Yeah, we weren’t prepared for that response,” daughter Ally humorously remarked.

In a one-on-one date segment on “The Golden Bachelor” with Turner, who is also a widower, Vassos discussed her experiences in dating since her 32-year marriage ended.

“I cherished being married, so I ventured into dating about a year later,” she shared with Turner. “I think I may have jumped back in a bit too early. But now, after 2.5 years, I feel I’m ready.”

Vassos reassured her family during the promo that she was not seeking to “replace” her deceased husband.

“Thank you all for your support,” she expressed at the dinner table. “I’m not here to replace Dad. I just desire for our family to feel complete again.”

Vassos elaborated on the traits she seeks in a partner. “I have high standards for a man to be a gentleman,” she remarked, outlining her desired qualities. “Someone with a big heart. Someone who is generous. And someone humble.”

The 61-year-old ultimately opted to self-eliminate during Turner’s season, despite feeling a strong connection. She disclosed during the “Women Tell All” episode that her daughter was battling postpartum depression and required her assistance.

“The Golden Bachelorette” is set to premiere on September 18.
