LIV Golf phenom Jon Rahm, along with his caddie Adam Hayes, exchanged some contentious remarks with fans during his debut victory on the Saudi-funded tour.
During Saturday’s play at the JCB Golf and Country Club in Rocester, England, Rahm was preparing for a chip shot on the 16th hole when a distant fan’s shout was audible on the broadcast.
Rahm responded with, “Hey man,” while slapping his leg in frustration.

Rahm’s frustration escalated when another fan shouted at him, prompting him to raise his arms in exasperation.
In response, Hayes began to retort. Although not fully audible, it was clear that the caddie exclaimed, “Yelling in our f—ing backswing, you d—head,” as reported by Awful Announcing.

The LIV Golf broadcaster remarked, “We’ve all thought it,” when Hayes’ comments were picked up by the mic.
Ultimately, Rahm finished with a 4-under final round, concluding at 13-under for the tournament and securing his first individual victory in LIV Golf, edging out Joaquin Niemann by a stroke.
Rahm’s team, Legion XIII, which includes Tyrell Hatton, Kieran Vincent, and Caleb Surratt, triumphed in the event by three strokes (totaling 26-under), with Ripper GC (23-under) and Crushers GC (20-under) following in second and third place, respectively.

This isn’t the first instance of Rahm encountering distractions during his inaugural LIV Golf season.
Drones have proven to be a recurring issue, and once again, his frustrations were captured live during the broadcast.
“Every tournament. It’s f—ing incredible,” Rahm was heard expressing after his drive landed in a water hazard during LIV Golf Nashville in June. “Right on my backswing, these f—ing drones every time.”
LIV Golf provides a contemporary alternative to the traditional PGA Tour, attracting a different audience with its music and cheering at certain holes throughout the year, among other features.

However, no player desires to be distracted during their backswing, unless they are forewarned about cheers.

Despite his irritation at the moment, Rahm ultimately overcame that bogey during Saturday’s 1-under round to secure the win.
