Erica Ash, known for her role on “MADtv,” has passed away at the age of 46.
On Monday, a statement from Ash’s mother, Diann, was provided to Fox News Digital.
The statement began, “It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of our cherished daughter, sister, and friend, Erica Chantal Ash (1977-2024).”
The family’s statement went on to say, “After a long and brave fight against cancer, she peacefully transitioned surrounded by her loved ones.”

Her family stated, “Erica was a remarkable woman and gifted entertainer who impacted countless lives with her sharp humor, charisma, and infectious enthusiasm for life. Her legacy will remain in our hearts forever.”

The family requested that, in honor of Erica’s memory, any donations be directed to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation or a Breast Cancer Foundation of choice. They expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this challenging time.
Besides her time on “MADtv,” Ash was also featured in “The Big Gay Sketch Show,” “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” and “Survivor’s Remorse.”
