Jason Miller, an adviser to the Trump campaign, indicated that former President Trump is willing to debate the eventual Democratic presidential nominee, although he expressed doubts about it being Vice President Harris.
“We believe the Democrats should finalize their nominee,” Miller responded when asked if Trump would face off against Harris.
Recently, President Biden announced his intention to withdraw from the presidential race, endorsing his vice president, Kamala Harris, to be the Democratic Party’s next nominee. While Harris is seen as the likely nominee, she has yet to officially secure the party’s nomination.

“That needs to be solidified before we finalize any debate schedules,” he mentioned.
When MSNBC host Chris Jansing pressed him for details, Miller remarked that the Democratic Party only just solidified its support for Harris.
“Let’s ensure that the Democrats are ready to back Kamala Harris,” he stated. “Only a month ago, several Democrats who were eager to replace Joe Biden were suggesting, ‘We need to explore other candidates besides Kamala Harris.’”
“It’s just in the last week that there has been any real movement to unify around Kamala Harris,” Miller added. “The same individuals who previously supported Biden are now saying they need to coalesce around Harris.”

“Fourteen million Democrats cast their votes for Joe Biden during the primaries,” Miller pointed out. “Now, those voters will be informed that their votes don’t count.”
“Will Donald Trump face Kamala Harris in a debate?” Jansing queried Miller.
“Certainly, we intend to debate the Democratic nominee,” Miller confirmed. “If that nominee is Kamala Harris, once everything is confirmed.”
“I believe we are looking at August 7 for that,” Miller added.
Harris, the probable nominee for the Democratic Party, has already secured over $200 million for her campaign.
According to a campaign press release, they celebrated what they described as a “record-breaking total,” highlighting that two-thirds of the donations came from first-time contributors, suggesting “robust grassroots support for the Vice President.”
