Ever since the older, White Joe Biden was supplanted on the anticipated Democratic presidential ticket by the younger, Black and Indian Kamala Harris, the narrative of the 2024 election has shifted to race, pulling us backward.

Recently, there’s been a peculiar display of “white women” and “white dude” Zoom meetings, a bizarre blend of political gatherings and Maoist struggle sessions, evoking memories of those virtual COVID cocktail hours.

During one such gathering, the TikToker “Mrs. Frazzled” patronizingly advised attendees to be cautious about “God forbid, correcting a person of color” during discussions. This clearly promotes the notion of communicating and treating individuals differently due to their skin color.

We used to define that as racism.

WHITE DUDES FOR HARRIS ATTRACTS CELEBRITIES; NOTION THAT MEN MUST BE ‘PROTECTORS AND PROVIDERS’ RAMPANT IN US

The group of White men, or “dudes,” as they referred to themselves, did not shine either. At one moment, founder Ross Morales noted that throughout American history, “when white men organized, it was often in pointy hats,” a reference to the KKK.

But here’s the thing, Ross, my dude: White men also donned tri-corner hats to establish a nation founded on freedom, forage caps during a war to liberate the enslaved, and hard metal helmets during the storming of Normandy. Using history to imply that contemporary white men are inherently perilous is just as racist as altering your behavior based on race.

Moreover, affluent Upper East Side resident Molly Jong Fast took to MSNBC, asserting that JD Vance desires only white children to be born in the U.S., despite the fact that the vice presidential candidate’s own half-Indian children are just as biracial as Kamala Harris.

HARRIS NOW DISTANCING HERSELF FROM SEVERAL FAR-LEFT POSITIONS SHE ONCE CHAMPIONED

This rhetoric arises from a twisted logic where white liberals see themselves as irredeemable racists while believing they are superior to those Trump-supporting individuals oblivious to their own racism.

The principles of this logic are glaringly inconsistent. For instance, Democrats, whether they are White women or not, seem unconcerned about “God forbid correcting,” Clarence Thomas or Ben Carson when the subject is race relations.

This brand of political correctness, now termed wokeness, is essentially a luxury ideology. As someone who has spent considerable time, including during this election cycle, meeting voters across the country, most Americans do not think or act in this manner.

‘IT’S NEVER BEEN JOE.’ AT MARYLAND’S CARROLL COUNTY FAIR, NOBODY BELIEVES BIDEN IS AT THE HELM

In fact, very few people across vast, sprawling America are contemplating, “oh, this individual is Black, I should treat them differently,” or waking up pondering, “how can I be just a tad less racist today?” These are invented issues for individuals with excessive leisure time and advanced degrees.

It may play well in politics to guilt-trip White individuals into supporting Kamala Harris based on their race’s alleged unique transgressions. Hopefully, it’s not effective, but it could be. Either way, it is detrimental to our nation.

This narrative promotes the idea that White individuals are inherently malevolent, while also suggesting that they alone possess the privilege or authority to save marginalized people of color who supposedly lack the agency to address their own challenges or to express diverse viewpoints.

At a time when we desperately need avenues toward national unity, this approach firmly divides us based on unchangeable traits.

In simple terms, this overt race-baiting is abhorrent.

Democrats, and Americans overall, should disengage from these ideologically self-affirming Zoom meetings and interact with real people in real life. They may even encounter individuals who disagree with them and engage in mutual correction, regardless of their racial backgrounds.

Feigning that Donald Trump poses an existential threat to democracy has not been effective, especially when the alternative was a semi-conscious Joe Biden who struggled to manage an ice cream parlor. Now, Democrats will insist that America is a seething pit of egregious racism, and noble white saviors must douse the flames.

Do not buy into it; observe your own communities and churches to ascertain if we live in a hub of racism. Do not rely on the claims of insulated Hollywood celebrities and television commentators; assess with your own judgment. You will find that their grotesque portrayal of this country is merely a politically motivated fiction.
