As a father of four, Ryan Reynolds is discovering how to “embrace the chaos.”
On a recent episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, the “Deadpool & Wolverine” actor offered a rare insight into life at home with his wife Blake Lively and their four kids: daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, along with their 1-year-old son, Olin.
“Embrace the chaos,” said the 47-year-old star. “[We] have four kids. Like, okay, nothing’s ever going to be organized again. But it will be once they all move out.”

Reynolds noted that Lively frequently reminds him, “They’re all under our roof right now. The entire family is together at this moment, which is temporary. It’s not an endless period, you know?”
However, he also acknowledged the challenges of parenting can feel quite intense.
“It can get overwhelming,” he confessed. “And it’s completely normal to say, ‘f—, I am exhausted.’ Because it happens like every other day.”
“The entire family is under our roof right now. We have them all. And that is a fleeting thing.”

“I would love to have my own space and fall asleep peacefully again,” he remarked after disclosing that some of his kids can’t drift off unless they’re in the bed he shares with Lively. “Just think about what you would give in 40 years or 30 years to relive this one moment.”

Reynolds and Lively are well-known for keeping their children out of the limelight.
In July 2021, she discussed a “terrifying” paparazzi incident that occurred with her daughters, where a man was reportedly stalking the family and hiding whenever they noticed him, according to a screenshot shared by the now-removed Comments by Celebs Instagram account.

“You manipulate these images to make it seem like I’m happily waving. But that’s misleading,” Lively stated at the time. “The actual story is: My children were being stalked by a man all day, hiding and then jumping out.”

“A stranger approached them because it was distressing for her to witness,” Lively recounted, explaining that she tried to “calmly talk to” the photographer, who “would flee” before reappearing at the next corner.
“What about your morals?” Lively questioned. “I’d like to know. Or do you just not care about children’s safety?”

Lively shared that she managed to reach a deal with some photographers who agreed to avoid her kids in exchange for exclusive solo photos of her.
“Please stop financially supporting grown men to stalk and harass children,” she asserted. “Come on. Get with the times.”
