Former Chelsea manager Emma Hayes is set to return to England to lead the United States in a friendly against the Lionesses at Wembley on 30 November.

Additionally, England will play Germany in a friendly at Wembley on 25 October, revisiting the Euro 2022 final where the Lionesses triumphed 2-1 in front of 87,192 spectators at the iconic venue.

The Lionesses are also scheduled to compete against South Africa at the Coventry Building Society Arena, home to Coventry City, on 29 October, and will wrap up the year with a match against Switzerland at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane on 3 December.

These four encounters will play a crucial role in preparing the Lionesses for Euro 2025, which will be held in Switzerland.

“Achieving our spot in the tournament next summer without needing to go through the play-offs allows us ample time to prepare for the challenges ahead in Switzerland,” stated England manager Sarina Wiegman.

“Competing at Wembley again, especially against strong opponents like Germany and the United States, is incredibly thrilling.

“It’s also important for us to take the team around the country, and we are delighted to return to Coventry and Sheffield.”

Hayes was appointed as the head coach for the United States in November 2023 and officially took over after the Women’s Super League season concluded in May.

She is currently in France, where the United States is competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Born in London, Hayes departed Chelsea as the club’s most successful head coach, amassing 14 trophies over an impressive 12-year period.
