Liverpool legends Robbie Fowler and Phil Thompson honored the victims at the site of the Southport stabbing on Tuesday as the community mourns following the tragic incident.
Three young girls—aged six, seven, and nine—lost their lives when a knife-wielding assailant entered a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on Monday morning, while seven others remain in critical condition.
A 17-year-old boy, hailing from the nearby village of Banks in Lancashire, is currently in custody on charges of murder and attempted murder.
Authorities confirmed that the teenager was originally from Cardiff and had been living in Banks and it is thought he arrived via taxi shortly before parents picked up their children.
Tributes have been pouring in, with both Liverpool and Everton expressing their condolences on X, leading Fowler and Thompson to visit the site on Tuesday.

Dressed in black suits with white shirts and ties, the two icons joined others in laying flowers on Tithebarn Road, looking somber as they honored the victims of the tragic event.

As they paid their respects, Fowler and Thomson bowed their heads in a moment of silence while onlookers gathered to witness the tribute from two of Liverpool’s most beloved figures during this difficult time.
Representatives from Everton FC also participated in this act of solidarity, with club ambassadors Ian Snodin and Graham Stuart joining Fowler and Thompson in Southport.

This display of unity was organized as Merseyside’s major clubs—normally fierce rivals—came together in light of the devastating circumstances, which have also prompted tributes from high-profile figures including HRH King Charles, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Taylor Swift.
Ex-Everton star, Stuart, expressed his sorrow on Tuesday, stating, ‘The events of yesterday are utterly heartbreaking. Like everyone, we are deeply shocked by such a senseless act. Our hearts go out to everyone affected.’
Additionally, Snodin plans to attend a vigil in Southport at 6 p.m.
