Jeffery Simmons, star defensive tackle for the Tennessee Titans, didn’t hold back when expressing his views to a radio host following Tuesday’s training camp session, despite the host being live on-air.
In a now-famous video where Simmons was off-camera, he was heard confronting Buck Reising from 104.5 The Zone, who was attempting to interview Titans cornerback Roger McCreary.
During the exchange, Simmons was audibly heard calling Reising a “p—y,” indicative of the heated atmosphere.

As Reising’s team attempted to get McCreary’s headset ready for his interview, Simmons’s attention turned towards Reising.
“We can talk whenever you want,” Reising said, but Simmons remained inaudible for the most part until he got closer after being reminded they were live on-air.

Reising invited Simmons for an on-air discussion, given that he was right at the table, but the defensive tackle declined.
“Stop talking on social media, talk to me!” Simmons fired back.
As a leader in the Titans’ locker room, this type of exchange might not reflect well on Simmons.

Additionally, Simmons was involved in a scuffle during training camp on Tuesday, which he partly incited by striking rookie offensive lineman JC Latham. Reising commented on the incident via social media.
“Simmons just swung at Latham after some pushing and shoving…refs indicated 98 would have been ejected in a game. He returned for the next play and immediately started another brawl. Sloppy. Simmons needs to get it together,” Reising tweeted.
Newly appointed Titans head coach Brian Callahan allowed Simmons to continue practicing, even though officials indicated he would have been sent off during a regular-season match.
Simmons ranks among the highest-paid defensive tackles in the NFL after signing a $94 million extension, ensuring his tenure with the Titans lasts through the 2027 season.
