Senator JD Vance, R-Ohio, and former President Trump’s running mate, is set to travel to Arizona on Thursday to visit the southern border.
This trip is significant for the Trump campaign, aiming to win the election while addressing a major concern for voters by visiting the border, as reported by Fox News Digital.
This border visit comes as the Trump campaign has shifted its focus to challenging Vice President Kamala Harris, who has taken the lead on the Democratic ticket following President Biden’s recent withdrawal from the race.

Trump and Vance have prioritized showcasing Harris’s contributions to various disapproved policies of the current administration, aiming specifically at her role in attempting to address the “root causes” of illegal immigration at the southern U.S. border, which has led to her being dubbed the administration’s “border czar.”
In comments to reporters the day after Biden’s decision, Vance emphasized that Harris’s new position as the leader of the Democratic ticket would not alter the Trump campaign’s “political calculus.”
“We were running against Joe Biden’s open border, Kamala Harris’s open border. Kamala Harris supported the Green New Deal. Kamala Harris, frankly, defended Joe Biden even though it was evident he was unfit for office for a long time,” Vance stated.
