BUTLER, Penn. – Scammers on social media are trying to impersonate the grieving family of Corey Comperatore, the firefighter tragically killed during a rally for former President Trump in Pennsylvania.
A spokesperson for the Comperatore family expressed their devastation upon discovering that someone was faking their identity and soliciting donations.
“The news of a fraudulent Facebook account impersonating Corey Comperatore’s family and asking for funds is both shameful and detestable,” remarked the family representative.
