Manchester United defender Leny Yoro was spotted wearing a protective boot and using crutches at the club’s training site in UCLA.

Yoro had to leave the field during the first half of Saturday’s pre-season match against Arsenal at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The 18-year-old, who just joined United from Lille for £52m on July 18, struggled to put weight on his foot as he exited the pitch and boarded the team bus before the match concluded.

Yoro was seen boarding the team bus with a protective boot on his left foot, raising concerns about a potentially lengthy recovery.

Sources from United indicate that the club is currently evaluating the severity of the injury.

Manager Erik ten Hag has yet to address the media regarding Yoro’s injury and is not expected to do so until 16:30 local time on Thursday (00:30 BST Friday), when he will hold a pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s game against Liverpool in South Carolina.

United is set to face La Liga team Real Betis in the second match of their three-game US tour in San Diego on Wednesday at 19:00 (03:00 BST Thursday).
