Crystal Palace has acquired winger Ismaila Sarr from Marseille for a transfer fee estimated at £12.5 million.
The 26-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the club.
“I appreciate the coach and the sporting director for sharing their vision with me; I embraced their project as I believe it is a promising one,” Sarr stated.
“I’m committed to giving my all both on and off the pitch for the team and the fans.”
Sarr made the move to Marseille from Watford in July of the previous year for an undisclosed amount.
During his time at Watford, the forward netted 34 goals in 131 appearances and contributed five goals and six assists in all competitions for Marseille last season.
Sarr, who has scored 13 goals in 64 appearances for Senegal, triumphed at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021 and has participated in two World Cups.
“We are thrilled that Ismaila has chosen to join Crystal Palace as he is familiar with the Premier League from his time at Watford, understands life in England, and has gained considerable experience with Marseille last season,” commented Eagles manager Oliver Glasner.
“In every season at every club, he has demonstrated his ability to score goals. He has proven this with the Senegal national team, so we are very excited to welcome him to our squad.”
Palace has been on the lookout for a replacement for Michael Olise following the Frenchman’s transfer to Bayern Munich.
The club received £50 million from Olise’s departure and has completed three signings this summer.
Besides Sarr, they have also brought in Daichi Kamada, a 27-year-old Japanese midfielder, on a free transfer from Lazio, and Chadi Riad, who has three caps for Morocco, in a £14 million deal from Real Betis.
