If you’re aiming for a medal in pistol shooting, you’ll likely expect to be well-prepared—but that wasn’t the case for Yusuf Dikeç.
This 51-year-old Turkish shooter claimed a silver medal while appearing quite ordinary.
Dikeç secured second place in the 10m mixed air pistol event, impressing the world with his relaxed demeanor.

Warren Sharp expressed on X that Dikeç possessed an “insane aura,” while Lolo Jones humorously inquired on social media if Dikeç would appear in the next John Wick film.
Dikeç’s outfit was notably understated in contrast to his competitors, who were outfitted with additional lenses and gear to minimize distortion and background noise for enhanced accuracy.
Yet, the “legend” of Dikeç remains intact.
He is not only a sensation in the social media realm but also etched into his country’s history—this was Turkey’s first medal in shooting.
