At the New York City premiere of his upcoming film, “The Instigators,” Matt Damon was accompanied by a host of lovely ladies on Wednesday.
The actor from Massachusetts graced the red carpet alongside all five of his leading ladies, including his wife Luciana and their four daughters: Alexia, 24 (Luciana’s daughter from a prior relationship); Isabella, 18; Gia, 15; and Stella, 13.
In one snapshot, Damon reached out for Gia’s hand while his wife guided him off the red carpet, casting a glance back at his two older daughters, who remained partially in the frame.

Damon and his wife both took on production roles for the film, which was co-written with long-time friend and fellow Bostonian Casey Affleck and Chuck MacLean. In addition to producing, Damon and Affleck star in the Apple TV+ movie, featuring rapper Jack Harlow and Affleck’s girlfriend, Caylee Cowan.
This rare appearance on the red carpet follows Damon’s open discussions about sending his oldest daughter, Isabella, off to college.

“It’s a surreal kind of time as life goes on, especially as you age, because it truly feels like I was holding her just yesterday,” he expressed in an interview with E! News, alongside Affleck and co-star Hong Chau.
“For those newer to parenting, it really does go by quickly,” he said, addressing Chau, who welcomed her child in late 2020.
Damon mentioned that to brace himself for the emotional toll, he sought advice from friends who had experienced similar situations. “I reached out to friends to see how they coped… what their experience was like,” he recounted.

“It’s a surreal kind of time in the way it operates in your life the older you get, because it just feels like I was holding her, you know, yesterday.”
Isabella will begin her studies at New York University in the fall. She appears to share a playful rapport with her father, as Damon has previously noted her indifference to his career.
During a 2023 segment on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Damon recounted how Isabella enjoys teasing him about his films.

“[She] likes to give me a hard time. And she makes it clear she doesn’t want to watch anything I appear in if she thinks it might be good,” he stated. “If I get negative reviews for something… that’s what she wants to see with her friends.”
Damon humorously cited his 2016 film, “The Great Wall,” admitting it “was not very good.” He explained how his daughter mischaracterized the film when talking to her friend: ‘My dad did this movie, “The Wall.” ‘She repeatedly referred to it as ‘The Wall.’ Finally, I said, ‘Isabella, that film’s called The Great Wall.’ And she responded, ‘Dad, there is nothing great about that movie,’” he recounted.
