This information was briefly communicated in a readout following a phone conversation between President Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which Vice President Kamala Harris also participated in.

During their conversation, the leaders reviewed strategies for Israel’s defense against threats from Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis in Yemen.
“The President emphasized U.S. efforts to bolster Israel’s defense against potential threats, including ballistic missiles and drones, incorporating new U.S. military deployments,” the statement indicated.
Biden also underlined ongoing initiatives to ease escalating tensions throughout the region.

Recently, tensions between Israel and Hezbollah have escalated due to a series of retaliatory airstrikes.
On Thursday, Netanyahu declared that those who launch attacks against Israel will pay a “very high price,” confirming that recent strikes had eliminated senior Hezbollah and Hamas commanders.

“Israel is fully prepared for any situation — both defensively and offensively,” Netanyahu remarked. “We will impose a very high cost on any form of aggression against us from any side.”
