The ongoing legal dispute between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt remains intense. Jolie alleges that Pitt pressured her into signing an $8.5 million non-disclosure agreement (NDA) aimed at silencing her claims of abuse.
In court filings dated July 25 and acquired by Fox News Digital, Jolie’s lawyers contended that the “Maleficent” actress and their children were “victims of Pitt’s alleged ‘private’ abuse and cover-up.”
Jolie has recently requested that Pitt produce third-party communications related to a plane incident from 2016. It is alleged that Jolie and Pitt had a physical confrontation on the aircraft, leading Jolie to file for divorce shortly thereafter.

In 2022, Pitt initiated legal action against Jolie after she sold her share in Château Miraval, their former French winery, seeking a court ruling to deem the sale “null and void.”
Jolie’s legal representatives argued in the court documents that she “did not act with malice or the intent to harm Pitt in response to any custody decisions” when she sold her Miraval interest in 2021.
“Instead, it was Pitt who refused to purchase her share unless he was granted a newly revised NDA, enforceable by an $8.5 million holdback specifically intended to compel her silence regarding his alleged abuse and cover-up,” the documents stated.
A source close to Jolie further commented to Fox News Digital about the latest legal filing.

“Brad Pitt’s demand for an NDA to conceal his alleged criminal actions is unacceptable, and no abuse survivor should be coerced into silence,” the statement remarked.
“She never filed charges, left him with all their properties, and was the one who initially offered to sell him the business. Yet, he was dissatisfied and has continued to sue her and attack her publicly. All she desires is peace and a chance to heal their family.”

The “Bullet Train” star rejected Jolie’s assertion.
“This was merely a business conflict; regrettably, this legal assault is yet another instance of them hurting the entire family by making it personal,” a source close to Pitt told Fox News Digital.
“The other side is frantically and consistently attempting to divert attention from the fact that it was her— not Brad— who requested an NDA concerning the divorce, which fundamentally undermines the credibility of their ongoing allegations.”

“They do not want anyone to focus on the fact that she denied the children their inheritance of Miraval by violating the agreement, selling it, and pocketing the funds.”
The ex-couple acquired a controlling interest in Château Miraval in 2008 and spent considerable time there during their relationship. In 2021, Jolie attempted to sell her company, Nouvel, to Tenute Del Mondo, a Stoli Group subsidiary, effectively passing on her 50% stake in Miraval. Pitt has opposed this sale, arguing it breached their contract.

Jolie’s company alleged that Pitt orchestrated a “vindictive campaign” to “raid” the lucrative business ever since she filed for divorce in 2016.
Nouvel accused Pitt of “hijacking” Château Miraval and “squandering” the company’s resources on unnecessary renovation projects, such as $1 million spent on pool renovations, according to court documents previously obtained by Fox News Digital.
In March, the court dismissed Jolie’s claim that Pitt’s lawsuit was frivolous and malicious, permitting a trial to proceed.
