One Olympic athlete had a rocky start even before stepping onto the field.
Chase Jackson is set to make her Olympic debut in Paris this week after clinching back-to-back world championships in the women’s shot put event.
Unfortunately, upon her arrival in Paris for the Games, she discovered that none of her competing uniforms were suitable for her.

“Spending my first hour in Paris in tears because none of the sizes given were right really got to me,” she shared on her Instagram Stories, according to NBC.
Jackson later attributed this inconvenience to an “administrative error on the system that inaccurately recorded all of my sizes.”
“For clarity, all brands do have my size; it just wasn’t issued to me initially but it has been resolved, so no worries now,” she continued. “There was no intentional exclusion, just a major logistical blunder!”

“Seeing the wrong sizes when I arrived was definitely discouraging, but my team has been incredible in sorting it out,” she mentioned in another post. “The USATF/Team USA/Nike representatives really came through for me.”
Jackson has learned to embrace her figure, which has benefited her as a two-time world champion. However, she reflected on moments when she felt “excluded and it was painful,” which contributed to her initial distress.
Jackson is set to step into the Olympic shot put circle for the first time on Thursday to compete for a spot in Friday’s finals.
