In her journey towards sobriety, Jessica Simpson has no tolerance for skeptics.

On Monday, the “With You” singer — who will mark seven years of sobriety this fall — quickly dismissed a fan’s assertion that she was drinking again.

Following a heartfelt birthday message for her son on Instagram, a fan commented, “STOP DRINKING!”

Last year, Simpson commemorated her six-year sobriety milestone on social media.

The initial post featured an “unrecognizable” photo of Simpson from Nov. 1, 2017, the day she chose sobriety — she mentioned her last drink was on Halloween of that year.

“I haven’t wanted or touched alcohol since October 2017 and it has been the best decision I’ve made for myself and for my family.”

“This person in the early morning of Nov 1, 2017 is an unrecognizable version of myself. I had so much self-discovery ahead of me,” Simpson wrote in the original post.

“I recognized in that moment I would reclaim my light, triumph over my internal struggles of self-respect, and navigate this world with renewed clarity,” she continued. “Personally, to achieve this, I needed to stop drinking alcohol, as it kept my mind and heart spinning in circles, and frankly, I was exhausted.

“I desired to face my pain and carry it as a symbol of honor. I aspired to live like a true leader, breaking cycles to move forward, never looking back with regret or sorrow over any choice I’ve made or will make throughout my life in this beautiful world.”

“There is a significant stigma surrounding alcoholism and the label of being an alcoholic. The real work I needed to focus on in my life was accepting failure, pain, brokenness, and self-sabotage,” she shared. “The drinking wasn’t the root problem. I was. I didn’t love or respect myself. Today, I do.”

“I have made peace with my fears and come to terms with the sad aspects of my life. I embrace my personal power with soulful courage. I’m refreshingly open and honest. I feel free.”

“Embracing my younger self has played a significant role in my transformation,” Simpson shared with E! in 2023 about prioritizing her health. “I feel like I’m in my 20s again.”

She added, “Being overly critical of yourself can lead to setbacks in any endeavor and any goal you set. Just love yourself through the process and give yourself some compassion. Achieving a place where you feel truly confident takes time.”

“Once you get there, you’ll be grateful for the journey,” Simpson concluded.
