Renowned country artist Luke Combs thrilled his audience with a ‘savage’ punishment for his friends based on fantasy football, inviting them onstage to perform for the stadium crowd.

Combs presented his two friends at Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium as the unfortunate losers of his fantasy football league, a yearly competition he participates in with his high school buddies.

Due to a scoring glitch, there were two co-losers of the league, meaning both ended up in a tie for last place to conclude the season.

On Saturday, Combs brought out his friends wearing their ‘blue suede shoes’ to sing a duet of ‘Walking in Memphis’ by Marc Cohn.

Video captures Combs’ friends taking turns in the spotlight as they sing in front of a massive crowd of country music enthusiasts.

‘Luke is a savage for that,’ one fan remarked on X.

Balancing out the fun of winning a fantasy football league—which brings bragging rights, potential cash, and a trophy—losing the league has its own set of daunting consequences.

There are harsher punishments as well, such as the infamous 24 hours at a McDonald’s, where the loser can shave off an hour for every Big Mac consumed during their time there.

Combs, however, did not divulge what his punishment would have entailed had he finished in last place, noting that performing on stage likely wouldn’t have been a torturous experience for him.

Even though the concert was held in a different city, Combs chose ‘Walking in Memphis’ for his friends to sing.

The cheers from the crowd at Paycor Stadium echoed for Combs’ friends as they sang, which didn’t quite match the standard for a live microphone in a football venue.
