MyKayla Skinner is reaching out to Simone Biles, asking her to speak out against the online harassment and death threats aimed at her during the ongoing Paris Olympics.
‘I honestly hoped we wouldn’t have to discuss this again, but things have spiraled out of control recently,’ an emotional Skinner shared on Instagram Tuesday, alleging that both she and her family have faced death threats.
‘Simone, I’m asking you directly and publicly to please intervene,’ Skinner continued.
Skinner has faced significant criticism since she questioned the commitment of the current American team, comments that were reignited following a provocative post from Biles, who had written: ‘lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions.’
Since then, Skinner claims that she and her family have been targeted by online bullies.
