On Tuesday, Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., revealed via social media that the FBI seized his phone last week, right after he secured victory in a Republican primary in Tennessee.
As a member of the House Freedom Caucus, Ogles posted a statement on X regarding an investigation that allegedly pertains to campaign finance documents. Sources informed Fox News that FBI agents executed a search warrant at his Washington D.C. office last week.
“There have been widespread reports for months indicating that my campaign encountered issues with our initial financial filings,” said the Tennessee lawmaker in his post. “We have been working diligently alongside attorneys and reporting specialists to rectify these discrepancies and ensure future compliance.”
“The FBI took my cell phone into their possession last Friday.”

Ogles expressed belief that the seizure of his phone is connected to the campaign finance filings and pledged to fully cooperate with investigators.
“To my knowledge, they are looking into the same well-documented issues regarding these filings,” the Republican stated. “I will wholeheartedly cooperate, just as I have with the Federal Election Commission.”
“I trust that those involved will conclude that any differences in reporting stemmed from honest errors, and nothing more.”

Just last Thursday, Ogles triumphed in a significant primary contest against Nashville Metro Council member Courtney Johnston. His candidacy was backed by former President Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La.
“Andy is dedicated to boosting the economy, curbing inflation, securing our southern border, upholding the rule of law, and defending our Second Amendment rights,” Trump stated on Truth Social in May. “I was honored to assist Andy in flipping a Democrat seat in 2022, and he has my full and unwavering endorsement for re-election. He will not disappoint you!”
