On Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released a new video that displays troops unearthing an underground workshop allegedly used by Hamas for weapon manufacturing, followed by its destruction in an airstrike.
The detection of the underground Hamas workshop occurred during a weeks-long operation by the IDF’s 7th Brigade Combat Team in the Bani Suheila region of Khan Yunis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, according to the IDF.
The operation involved troops raiding numerous terrorist infrastructure sites and resulted in the elimination of over 70 Hamas operatives during direct combat and aerial strikes, the IDF reported.
During the operation, members of the 603rd Battalion and the Yahalom Unit uncovered a tunnel that extended deep underground, as stated by officials. Upon investigating the tunnel, the IDF announced the discovery of underground workshops and a complex containing three rooms where Hamas operatives stored and manufactured weapons.
