Taylor Swift has added her voice to the growing list of celebrities supporting Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Following Beyonce’s stirring appearance in a hype video aired during NBC’s coverage of the opening ceremony, Swift was featured providing the soundtrack for another promotional clip.
‘I’m so ready to cheer for these incredible athletes,’ she wrote in an Instagram Story over the weekend.
The post included a heartfelt video showcasing athletes such as LeBron James, Noah Lyles, and Sha’Carri Richardson, all while her song “Ready For It” played in the background.
Instead of the original version, the promo used a live rendition of the song performed during her 2023 Eras Tour.

NBC chose Swift to create a soundtrack for the promotional video released Saturday
Notably, Simone Biles, who is a close friend of Swift’s, made an appearance in the video.
At the end of the video, she asked, ‘Are you guys ready for it?’
This comes as excitement builds around the possibility of the 14-time Grammy winner visiting Paris while on the European leg of her Eras Tour.
She has some days off in the coming weeks, including August 11, which coincides with the Closing Ceremony.
Swift has notably strong connections with Team USA, specifically the women’s gymnastics team and Biles.
She honored the celebrated gymnast in 2021 after Biles withdrew from multiple events during the Tokyo Olympics.
In response, Biles expressed her gratitude on social media, writing, ‘I’m crying, how special. I love you @taylorswift13.’

‘So ready to scream at my tv cheering for these athletes,’ Swift expressed on social media
Swift responded, ‘I cried watching YOU. I feel so lucky to have gotten to watch you all these years, but this week was a lesson in emotional intelligence and resilience. We all learned from you. Thank you.’
The “Love Story” artist also praised Biles’ teammates Suni Lee and Jade Carey, who stepped up during Biles’ mental health challenges.
Swift’s connection to the Olympic Games dates back to 2008 when NBC invited her for a performance at the Beijing Olympics.
Although her Fearless Tour schedule conflicted with the event, her song “Change” was prominently used in promotional videos.
‘I wrote the song “Change” as an underdog story. It’s surreal to think the Olympics chose this as one of the featured songs during the Games,’ Swift shared with The Boot back then.
