  • The Northern Irish manager emphasizes the importance for Enzo Maresca to face his upcoming challenges head-on
  • On Saturday, Maresca’s squad faced a heavy 4-1 defeat against Celtic in Indiana, USA

Brendan Rodgers cautioned Enzo Maresca that the pressures of managing Leicester City are incomparable to those at Chelsea.

Having been at both clubs, Rodgers highlights the need for Maresca to accept the significant challenge he faces.

“I was taken aback by Mauricio Pochettino’s departure; it was evident by the end that he was making progress and the players were responding,” stated Rodgers, now the Celtic manager, prior to his team’s match against Chelsea last night.

“It was disappointing for him to not see his vision through. Enzo has done exceptionally well at Leicester, but Chelsea presents an entirely different set of expectations—being one of the world’s top clubs will always be at the forefront.”

“The challenge lies in getting the players to fully understand and buy into your vision. That’s the initial hurdle.”
