The Olympic Games are in full swing following an exciting first day, with Team GB already making an impressive mark by earning two medals.
In their best start to the biggest sporting event in the world in over forty years, Anna Henderson captured silver in the women’s road race time trial, while divers Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen earned bronze, marking a historic achievement.
Today, swimmer Adam Peaty is poised to secure his third straight men’s 100m breaststroke Olympic title, with the final set to commence at 8:44 PM BST.
Several other Team GB athletes are also scheduled to compete today, including Andy Murray, Evie Richards, and Chelsie Giles.

The iconic rower, who secured five gold medals across five consecutive Olympics, describes the atmosphere at Team GB’s base as ‘electric’ following their early triumphs.
He also expressed disappointment for Josh Tarling, who finished fourth in the road time trial after suffering a puncture.
Redgrave is eager to witness Peaty’s pursuit of glory, while noting the formidable competition from China’s Qin Haiyang in what is expected to be an electrifying event.
The schedule also features tennis legend Murray, who is set to end his storied career in Paris, and two-time Olympic rowing champion Helen Glover.
Glover is set to begin her fourth Olympics in the women’s four, racing alongside Rebecca Shorten, Esme Booth, and Sam Redgrave, with heats kicking off at 11:30 AM BST.
Finally, Redgrave shares his thoughts on Giles as she prepares to improve upon her bronze medal from Tokyo in the Women’s 52kg event this evening.
