A “simple yet profound” biblical verse “touches on the essence of our spiritual and physical nourishment, reminding us of God’s steadfast care and provision,” shared Pastor Işık Abla of Virginia with Fox News Digital.

She cited Psalm 145:16: “The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs.”

This verse is sourced from Psalms, a compilation of 150 poems, songs, and prayers written in ancient Hebrew, according to Bible Project. Almost half of these psalms are credited to King David, with about a third remaining anonymous, while the rest are ascribed to various authors.

Psalm 145 is linked to King David.

Abla serves as the senior pastor of Dream Church International in Virginia Beach and has authored several Christian books. Originally from Turkey and raised as a Muslim, she relocated to America to escape an abusive marriage, as noted on her website.

Praying hands split with Pastor Abla's image.

Recognizing God’s enduring presence and care for humanity can be challenging, she noted.

“In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose sight of the foundational truths that ground our faith and bring peace amid the chaos.”

For Abla, this line from Psalm 145 “goes beyond mere comfort — it is a critical lifeline that has carried me through life’s darkest moments.”

She added, “As a single mother, I encountered challenges that felt impossible. I recall times when I was financially strained and could barely take care of my daughter. Even when I couldn’t envision a way forward, God always provided. In moments of adversity, He created pathways.”

This truth was particularly resonant when Abla faced a cancer diagnosis.

“My fears and uncertainties were overwhelming, but God brought healing into my life,” she recounted.

“Thanks to the care of doctors, the love of friends, and my unwavering faith, I felt His healing presence. This journey has fortified my faith and deepened my trust in His plan,” said Abla.

Even during “profound moments of solitude,” God continued to provide, she shared.

He “surrounded me with friends who became family,” Abla noted. “Their love and support were concrete reminders of His ever-present care.”

“In the depths of despair, God provided shelter for us.”

“I will always remember the days when my daughter and I were living in my car, feeling completely lost,” she said.

“In that time of despair, God provided shelter for us. It was a miraculous act that reassured me of His divine oversight.”

God, Abla expressed, “has always been a loving Father, meeting our needs in ways I could never fathomed.”

God’s faithfulness, she noted, “is a testament to the truths held in Psalm 145.”

Anyone facing struggles today, be it financial, mental, or physical, can draw strength from this verse, according to Abla.

Even in times of confusion or despair, “God will fulfill your needs,” she encouraged.

“He is the same God who provided for me and my daughter, who healed me, who brought supportive friends into my life, and who provided us with shelter,” Abla stated.

“He will do the same” for anyone else who seeks Him, she reassured.
