According to British journalist Piers Morgan, Kamala Harris has set a record as the most far-left senator in American history, a label that could influence her presidential campaign this November.

“She’s enjoying a[n] incredible honeymoon period, but it will fade quickly. Soon, reality will hit hard, and Donald Trump will intensify his focus on her record, which is that she is likely the most far-left senator in modern America,” Morgan stated during a panel on “Fox News Saturday Night” over the weekend.

Before assuming the role of vice president, Harris represented California in the Senate and is poised to become the Democratic nominee after President Biden announced last Sunday that he would not run for re-election, following pressures from party members urging him to step aside.

Biden quickly expressed his support for Harris afterward.

Several key Democrats, including former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, have also shown their support for Harris.

Within just 36 hours after Biden suspended his re-election bid, Harris took to social media to announce that she had secured the party’s nomination, pointing to overwhelming support from the majority of the approximately 4,000 delegates set to attend the Democratic National Convention in Chicago next month.

Morgan further commented on Harris’s significant backing from the left wing of the party, stating, “The analogy I would use regarding Democrats endorsing Harris is that if you were on the Titanic, and it had struck an iceberg, and the last lifeboat had just vanished into the moonlight… you would board any vessel in sight.”

“What’s the likelihood of actually getting to safety? You’ll just grab onto anything, and that’s the current situation.”

Morgan also criticized the Democrats for their inconsistent messages regarding support for Harris.

“I find this quite amusing because, on one hand, Democrats are telling Republicans, ‘Don’t you dare make this about her race or gender,’ while simultaneously implying that if you don’t vote for a Black woman, you’re a racist and a misogynist,” he shared with Fox News’ Jimmy Failla.
