A disabled skateboarder has shattered a Guinness World Record.
Kanya Sesser, 31, is a para-athlete who secured second place in women’s street adaptive skateboarding at the Dew Tour 2022.
Now, she holds the Guinness World Record for the longest handstand on a skateboard by a woman.
Speaking to What’s The Jam, she said: ‘Making history for others to see is amazing, and I aspire to inspire future generations.’
Despite being born with webbed fingers, Sesser managed to achieve this remarkable feat for 19.65 seconds.

Sesser has overcome significant challenges to reach this moment.
As an infant just three weeks old, she was discovered on the side of the road in Thailand by a passerby.
Eventually, she was taken to Portland, Oregon, where she was raised by adoptive parents and began skateboarding in high school.
Sesser remarked that ‘no one’s grass is greener’ as she continues to defy the limitations imposed by her disability.
‘Balancing for 19.65 seconds was one of the most transformative moments in my life,’ she shared.
‘No legs – no limits.’
