Bunnie Xo, the wife of Jelly Roll, recently received alarming news regarding her health.
Bunnie disclosed that after experiencing unusual headaches for several months, she underwent an MRI last week. The doctors informed her that she has an aneurysm on her carotid artery, which is one of her “greatest fears.” However, the podcast host expressed that this challenge has taught her to “embrace faith for the first time in my life.”
On Tuesday, she informed her Facebook followers about scheduling the MRI, and by Friday, she shared a video detailing her experience, which she captioned, “I’ve been living a nightmare the past four days.”

“In March, I started experiencing really intense headaches that were unlike any I’ve had before,” she shared, “so I arranged for an MRI/MRA this week with my doctor and went for it.”
Bunnie learned that she has an aneurysm on her carotid artery, but she will need another scan “to confirm it.”
This experience was quite nerve-wracking for her, as an aneurysm is one of her greatest fears – her mother had one that ruptured but survived.
You don’t realize how much you appreciate life & the people in it until you feel like you could lose them at any moment.
The follow-up scan confirmed the initial diagnosis: a two-millimeter aneurysm.

“The last four days felt as if I was facing a death sentence,” she added. “You have to come to terms with your own mortality, which is never a pleasant experience.”

While acknowledging that the diameter of her aneurysm is “extremely small,” she noted, “Nobody wants to carry a grenade in their head.”
On Friday, she consulted with a neurosurgeon, who suggested that what was detected in her scans might actually be an artifact rather than an aneurysm – he even expressed confusion about why she was referred to him.

He cleared her for now, and she plans to return in six months for another scan, which the neurosurgeon believes will validate his assessment. Nonetheless, she is seeking a second opinion and has promised her followers to keep them posted.
“Thank God I got this situation cleared up,” she exclaimed.

She elaborated, “It also prompted me to reassess my relationship with God and to learn to embrace faith like never before. Even a text from my husband last night saying, ‘You’re my best friend,’ brought me to tears.”
Bunnie shared, “You don’t truly understand the worth of life and the people in it until you face the possibility of losing them at any moment,” and encouraged her followers to “Cherish your loved ones a little more today for me, please.”
