Jonathan Owens enthusiastically fulfilled his cheerleader role as his wife and USA gymnastics icon Simone Biles guided her team to victory on Tuesday.
Team USA claimed the gold in the artistic gymnastics group finals in Paris, outshining opponents Italy and Brazil.
With Biles delivering an exceptional performance, the Americans amassed a score of 171.296, surpassing the competition by a significant margin and adding to her legacy as one of the greatest athletes in Olympic history.
Sporting a Biles-themed graphic tee, Owens supported from the sidelines while documenting the moment on his Instagram story as his partner made history. He sat beside Biles’ parents, Nellie and Ron Biles.
As the team celebrated their win, Owens filmed the ceremony from the stands and shared the final scores, captioning it, ‘Gold medal baby!!!!!!!’

Additionally, he reposted content from Bleacher Report and Team USA’s social media accounts honoring Biles’ accomplishment.
After his departure from the Green Bay Packers, Owens signed with the Chicago Bears, who allowed him to fly to France while the rest of the team began their preseason activities.
Previously, Owens faced backlash for stating he was the ‘catch’ in their relationship and revealing he didn’t realize Biles’ fame until they matched on the dating app Raya during the pandemic.
Despite the criticism, Biles maintained focus and disregarded the negativity. Owens proved to be the ultimate supporter as his wife returned to the Olympic stage after her withdrawal from the Tokyo Games in 2021.

Eight years later, after winning gold in Rio with a squad that affectionately referred to Aly Raisman as ‘grandma’ for being just 22, Biles – now 27 and married – returned, this time alongside Jade Carey (24), Jordan Chiles (23), Suni Lee (21), and 17-year-old Hezly Rivera.
‘We don’t have to fit into a box anymore,’ Biles remarked.
With an impressive tally of 38 medals from significant international events, Biles now holds eight Olympic medals, surpassing Shannon Miller for the most by an American gymnast.
‘She’s the greatest of all time,’ Chiles stated, now enjoying gold alongside the team silver she earned with Biles and Lee in Tokyo.
