O’Leary: What has VP Harris actually achieved?
Kevin O’Leary, known from “Shark Tank,” discusses the alarming 92% turnover rate in Kamala Harris’ vice presidential office and questions her achievements throughout her career.
The Harris campaign criticized former President Trump before he took the stage at today’s National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) event, alleging that he has previously “demeaned” members of the organization.
“As Donald Trump speaks at NABJ today, we must remember who he truly is. He has a track record of disparaging NABJ members and honorees who are vital to the Black press, as well as attacking the media and undermining its crucial role in our democracy,” stated Harris campaign Black Media Director Jasmine Harris, including links to past confrontations between Trump and NABJ members from his presidency.
Trump’s appearance at the NABJ convention in Chicago on Wednesday included an interview led by three journalists, one of whom was Fox News’ Harris Faulkner.

However, Trump’s participation has stirred controversy, with critics questioning the NABJ’s decision to extend an invitation to him.
NABJ President Ken Lemon defended the decision, stating, “While we acknowledge the concerns raised by our members, it’s essential to provide them with the opportunity to hear directly from candidates and hold them accountable.”
“Our policy has always been to clarify that an invitation does not equate to an endorsement. We recognize that this election cycle is particularly different and contentious, as are its implications,” Lemon added in his statement.

Despite this, the Harris campaign claimed that Trump would “misrepresent his record” and highlight the “actual damage he inflicted on the Black community,” during the convention.
“He will distort facts about rising Black unemployment and the rates of uninsured individuals in our communities during his presidency,” Harris stated. “He’ll mischaracterize his failed pandemic response, which had dire consequences for Black Americans. He’ll misstate the increase in crime during his leadership and boast about financial aid when his Project 2025 proposal would hurt our families financially.”
During the event, Trump confronted ABC News reporter Rachel Scott for starting the interview with what he termed a “nasty question,” labeling her network as “fake news.”

“Many believe it was inappropriate for you to be present today,” Scott stated. “You have previously told four congresswomen of color to return to where they came from, used derogatory terms like ‘animal’ and ‘rabbit’ to refer to Black attorneys, and berated Black journalists, calling them ‘losers’ and claiming their queries are ‘stupid and racist.’”
“I’ve never been asked a question in such a despicable manner,” Trump retorted. “It’s appalling that I attended in good faith. I have great affection for the Black community; my contributions to this population have been immense.”
Meanwhile, the NABJ was unable to arrange for Vice President Harris to attend the convention, with Lemon specifying in his statement that they had sought options for her presence since before she became the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee.

“We were informed by her campaign that her schedule could not accommodate our request. The latest information we received this week indicated that Harris would be unavailable both in person and virtually during our Convention,” Lemon stated. “We are discussing potential virtual options for the future and are working towards a resolution.”
When reached by Fox News Digital, a spokesperson for the Harris campaign referred to an NABJ statement suggesting that the vice president and the organization aimed to arrange a Q&A session for September.
