Do you enjoy seeing men overpowering women? I certainly do not. Any exceptions? None come to mind.
However, the International Olympic Committee sees it differently. It’s acceptable to watch men dominate women, as long as it’s happening in a grand stadium and broadcasted for everyone to witness. Understood?

Khelif has previously been classified as “biologically male.” That’s right: a male, a guy, a dude—terms that once had clear meanings but have become muddled in recent times.
Last year, Khelif was disqualified from the world championships for exceeding testosterone levels expected in women.
Nevertheless, it seems this didn’t concern the IOC, which isn’t shocking considering the peculiar theme of the Olympics’ opening ceremony was a celebration of bearded women and extravagant drag queens.
For years, advocates and female athletes have raised alarms about biological males participating in women’s sports. This issue now extends across almost every discipline.

Instances like this have garnered national attention—such as the case of William (now Lia) Thomas, who has been competing as a woman for the last five years despite being assigned male at birth.
When female athletes voiced their concerns, they often faced indifference. Riley Gaines, who competed against Thomas, received a wave of hostility for her remarks.
During a speaking event at UC Davis last year, Gaines was confronted by a mob of “trans-rights” activists who vandalized property and attacked attendees. This is an unfortunate way to demonstrate disdain for women, all while claiming to be part of the “love is love” movement.
It is striking to observe the scarcity of sympathy for these actual women and how often they end up being labeled as the contentious ones. Rather than defending their rights and perspectives—a common view until just a few years ago—many have been left to fend for themselves.

Young women who have dedicated themselves to reaching peak performance find their aspirations thwarted time and again, often finishing with silver or bronze medals or missing the podium entirely.
Yet, this is all being labeled as “progress,” right?
Predictably, it has been the more violent sports that first highlighted the genuine concerns surrounding this issue.
More than a decade ago, my friend Joe Rogan identified the problem, particularly due to his strong interest in MMA. He was among those who noticed the impact when “Fallon Fox,” a biological male, entered the amateur women’s cage-fighting scene and excelled.

Fox, who was born male, previously served in the Navy and worked as a trucker to finance surgeries to appear female. However, once Fox stepped into the ring against biological females, the results were one-sided. Some in the MMA community accepted this as valid.
Others, like Rogan, have pointed out that even after transitioning, those who have grown up as men retain advantages related to physical development.
Attributes like bone structure, hand size, and shoulder strength are considerable factors.
It took some time for other sports to acknowledge this reality. The only reason Thomas (who was an average male swimmer before the transition) excelled in women’s events was due to innate male physical advantages.

Yet, a small but vociferous group will label anyone who speaks out on this matter as a “bigot.” Each passing day makes it more challenging.
As time goes on, even resources like Google and Wikipedia are attempting to revise history, erasing the legitimate names of those who have transitioned and insisting they were always women.
Or they nominally claim individuals were “assigned male at birth,” suggesting that it was solely a callous decision by an uninformed doctor.
Well, in Paris yesterday, we witnessed the irrational culmination of these developments.

After years of rigorous training, Angela Carini was in the ring for only 46 seconds against Imane Khelif. The “match” primarily consisted of Khelif landing hard punches to Carini’s face—twice. Initially, it appeared that Carini might have suffered a broken nose.
In visible pain, Carini exclaimed, “This is unjust.” When the referee attempted to have her shake hands with the “winner,” Khelif, Carini justifiably refused.
Many people globally—especially those in Carini’s home country of Italy—are outraged by what transpired. Yet the IOC appears indifferent.

It’s uncertain when, or if, this madness will cease. But for anyone who believes this is acceptable, keep in mind: there are countless prisons filled with men who have harmed women. Today, you may justify this blatant disregard of fairness, but such permissiveness will not last forever.
