Jazz Chisholm Jr. arrived at Fenway Park in Boston at 5:41 p.m. on Sunday night, ready to suit up for his new team, the New York Yankees, with a first pitch scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
Yankees GM Brian Cashman finalized a trade with the Miami Marlins for the talented Chisholm, who was included in the lineup immediately, stepping into one of sports’ most storied rivalries as he embarks on this new chapter in his career.
Chisholm’s debut was somewhat uneventful, managing just one hit, an infield single, but even that solitary appearance on base out of five at-bats illustrated the reasons the Yankees were interested in him. He showcased his speed by stealing third base to get into scoring position and ultimately crossed home plate on a sacrifice fly.

However, it was during Monday night’s game in Philadelphia against the NL-leading Phillies that Chisholm quickly won over Yankees fans globally.
Chisholm hit four home runs, two in each of the first two games of the series, racking up eight RBIs, including a decisive three-run homer in the top of the seventh inning in the opener. Additionally, he made his debut at third base— a position he played like a seasoned pro.
The Yankees fanbase has rapidly developed a passion for Chisholm and his remarkable start, but it’s clear that his teammates appreciate him just as much.

“It’s been incredible. He’s a true player,” shortstop Anthony Volpe shared with Fox News Digital after a successful 5-1 East Coast road trip that appears to have revitalized the Yankees following a challenging phase. “The fact that he showcased his talent right away, and his enthusiasm for being part of the team is so refreshing. His energy is genuinely contagious, and we’re thrilled to have him.”
Volpe added that Chisholm has infused the clubhouse with “juice and energy,” reflecting his flair and style on the field.
It was reported that when the Yankees completed the trade, GM Brian Cashman consulted with Derek Jeter and CC Sabathia to gauge whether they believed Chisholm’s personality, or more precisely, his vibe, would mesh well in the Bronx. Both legends approved the move, and Volpe believes that everyone can already see the benefits through Chisholm’s interactions with his new teammates.

“I think fans are starting to witness what we noticed from the get-go,” he explained. “That’s why I don’t think anyone was shocked by his debut performance. I can’t wait to see how he’s received [at Yankee Stadium] – I know the fans will adore him. They already do.”
As Volpe recognizes, the Yankees’ fanbase is among the most loyal in sports. They will support their team with enthusiasm when things are going well, but they’re also unafraid to voice their opinions during rough patches.
Chisholm is likely to receive a warm welcome from fans when he steps onto the field at Yankee Stadium for the first time this Friday night, as the Bronx Bombers kick off a homestand against the Toronto Blue Jays.
While the setting may require some time for Chisholm to adapt, Volpe believes the Yankees’ clubhouse has already become a supportive environment for him, energizing it in the process.
“I can’t speak for him, but I can say that our clubhouse is incredibly welcoming, which allows everyone to perform at their best, no matter who you are,” Volpe said. “From the very first day he stepped in, I hope he felt that. Of course, with [Aaron] Judge as our captain, he excels at creating that atmosphere. He makes it easy for newcomers to feel like part of the team and part of the family— that’s our perspective, and it benefits everyone’s performance.”
While Yankees fans will be cheering for more home runs this weekend, the team couldn’t be more thrilled with how naturally Chisholm has adapted to the third-base position—a gap in the lineup that needed filling before the deadline. Volpe, being closest to Chisholm in the field, has seen first-hand how the Bahamas-born All-Star is setting ambitious goals.

“He aims for us to be the best left side of the infield in baseball, which is exciting—we will definitely put in the necessary effort,” Volpe remarked. “But the initial exchanges and practices have gone quite smoothly.”
Chisholm is making waves in his early days with the Yankees, focusing on both performance and integration.
GETTING RIGHT WITH RECOVER 180
Not only is Chisholm stepping up for the Yankees; the entire team, including Volpe, who has been hitting over .320 since mid-July, is contributing effectively.
He understands the 162-game season’s rigors and recognizes that maintaining his physical condition is crucial to ensuring consistent play for the Yankees. That’s why he has teamed up with RECOVER 180, an organic sports drink created by renowned entrepreneur Lance Collins, designed for optimal hydration.

“The baseball season is incredibly demanding,” Volpe noted. “With 162 games to play, a significant aspect of being able to compete daily is how well you recover. To have a drink that is not only delicious but also organic, packed with electrolytes, vitamins, and antioxidants, is vital for me. It enhances my overall well-being.”
