Travis Kelce’s fans and his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s supporters expressed displeasure when the Chiefs tight end was spotted with Morgan Wallen during his concert in Kansas City.
The divisive country artist, who has faced scrutiny for previous incidents, was seen supporting Kelce’s teammate Harrison Butker by donning his No. 7 jersey.
Earlier this year, Butker stirred controversy by claiming women should embrace ‘homemaker’ roles while delivering a commencement speech at Benedictine College.
His address included conservative views on issues such as gender expectations, abortion, and vaccinations.
As Wallen made his appearance at Arrowhead Stadium, alongside Kelce and teammates Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones, he encouraged the crowd to ‘always stand up for what [they] believe in.’

Fans of Kelce and Swift express their discontent over his association with Wallen
‘Why is Travis Kelce spending time with Morgan Wallen?’ one user questioned on X.
‘You are the company you keep,’ another remarked.
A third person echoed, ‘Birds of a feather flock together,’ while another commented, ‘@taylorswift13 it’s time to move on.’
Although both Mahomes and Kelce have distanced themselves from Butker’s beliefs, Kelce mentioned that he ‘values’ Butker as a teammate.
Meanwhile, Mahomes stated that he views Butker as ‘a great person.’

Butker expressed his stance on gender roles during his speech
‘That may not align with my values,’ Mahomes remarked during a press briefing in May.
‘However, I will assess him based on the character he demonstrates daily, and he is a great person. We’ll continue to support each other in our growth every day.’
Brittany, Mahomes’ wife, was also present to witness the trio of NFL players walking with Wallen while the song ‘WHISKEY WHISKEY’ by Moneybagg Yo, featuring Wallen played.
‘Look at my boys!’ she was heard exclaiming in an Instagram Story post.
