Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., along with other members of the far-left “Squad,” is currently facing a class action lawsuit that claims they incited and supported anti-Israel protests and encampments at Columbia University earlier this year.

The lawsuit has been filed anonymously by five students, naming Ocasio-Cortez as well as Democratic Reps. Jamal Bowman from New York and Ilhan Omar from Minnesota. Additionally, approximately a dozen anti-Israel organizing groups are also named in the lawsuit.

“The Gaza Encampment constituted extreme and outrageous conduct. It was unlawful and violated university policies. Participants harassed, followed, physically obstructed, intimidated, and bullied Jewish students,” the lawsuit states.

Two of the five students who filed the lawsuit identify as Jewish. One of them, referred to as “Tim Doe,” shared his experience with the New York Post.

“Once, while walking with my non-Jewish friends, I was singled out for wearing my yarmulke. A leader of the pro-Palestinian demonstration confronted our group, yelling that I needed to leave. When I refused, he started pushing me aside,” he continued.

The encampment at Columbia University drew international attention, involving the participation of students and faculty in a campus takeover that extended for weeks.

“These were tangible damages suffered by the 36,000 students at Columbia who chose to adhere to university regulations, attend classes, and further their education, only to face obstacles at the last moment due to the actions of their fellow students and faculty, supported by outside activists,” the lawsuit claims.
