Rangers have acquired Czech winger Vaclav Cerny on a loan deal for the season from Wolfsburg.
The 26-year-old has earned 17 caps for his national team and made one appearance during Euro 2024.
He only started 14 matches in his debut season with the Bundesliga side after transferring from Twente last summer, as Wolfsburg concluded the season in 12th place.
Rangers manager Philippe Clement regards his eighth summer acquisition as “an exciting player with significant experience in European football”.
“He has already demonstrated his attacking skills during his time in the Eredivisie and at Wolfsburg, and he will enhance our attacking options within the squad,” Clement shared on the club’s website.
“I believe that as a club and coaching staff, we can continue to support him in reaching new heights as a player.”
Cerny transitioned from his hometown team Pribram to Ajax in 2014, followed by stints with Dutch clubs Utrecht and Twente.
The winger, who made a total of 25 appearances for Wolfsburg before his transfer to Ibrox, stated: “From the initial discussions with the manager, I felt a very positive vibe, and things progressed quite quickly from there.”
