Barbosu and fellow Romanian gymnast Sabrina Maneca-Voinea fell out of medal contention. Initially celebrating her podium finish, Barbosu was left in shock upon learning Chiles had secured the bronze.

Barbosu appeared heartbroken.

Brazil’s Rebecca Andrade captured gold with a score of 14.166, marking her second gold medal of the Olympics and her fourth overall in Paris.
