Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., is receiving support from her colleagues in the House’s leftist “Squad” on Monday, as her remarks regarding Israel have put her political future in jeopardy ahead of this week’s primary elections.
“We have just ONE DAY left until primary Election Day. Join Cori and some very special guests on the eve of the election to rally together and mobilize voters!” Bush’s campaign shared on Instagram to promote the event.
The virtual rally is set to take place on Zoom at 5 p.m. Eastern Time, featuring Reps. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., and Summer Lee, D-Pa.

Bowman’s participation follows his own primary loss to a more centrist, pro-Israel Democrat, Westchester County Executive George Latimer.
Bush is considered one of the most vulnerable Squad members, along with Bowman, with pro-Israel groups actively campaigning against both progressive figures.
The two-term progressive Democrat is known for being a vocal critic of Israel’s actions in Gaza, accusing its government of committing genocide against Palestinians and continually voting against emergency funding for the allied nation.

Her position has drawn opposition from within her own party, with the Democratic Majority for Israel supporting her rival, Wesley Bell, who has also secured backing from the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a bipartisan pro-Israel lobbying organization.
Tlaib, who is supporting Bush on Monday night, is well-known for her strong criticism of Israel, having faced censure for her outspoken remarks against the country. She recently displayed a sign branding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “war criminal” during his speech to Congress.
Bell, the prosecutor for St. Louis County and Bush’s opponent, has adopted a more centrist approach in his campaign, contrasting with the incumbent’s progressive stance.

She and her supporters have attempted to frame him as a right-wing operative, referencing his previous volunteer work for anti-abortion conservative Mark J. Byrne.

Bush is also entering Tuesday’s election with backing from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and his key deputies.
Bell received an endorsement from the editorial board of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, one of the largest newspapers in the district, late last month.
