A letter released on Friday by a former White House doctor revealed that former President Trump is “rapidly recovering” from the shooting incident that occurred during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13. The letter also stated there is “absolutely no evidence” to suggest he was struck by “anything other than a bullet.”
Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, criticized the testimony provided earlier this week by FBI Director Christopher Wray and reassured everyone by saying, “I want to assure the American people and the world that President Trump is doing exceptionally well.”
As Trump’s former physician, Jackson explained, “I have been continuously monitoring his health and well-being alongside his primary care physician since the assassination attempt that took place in Butler, Pennsylvania, on the evening of July 13.”
He elaborated, “The would-be assassin discharged multiple rounds from a relatively short distance, utilizing a high-powered rifle, with one bullet hitting the former President—and now the Republican nominee for President—in his right ear.”

Jackson went on to clarify, “During the Congressional Hearing two days ago, FBI Director Christopher Wray implied that it could be a bullet, shrapnel, or glass. However, there is absolutely no evidence supporting any conclusion other than that it was a bullet,” he emphasized. “Congress should rectify the record as confirmed by both the hospital and my own assessment. Director Wray’s suggestions are misguided and inappropriate.”
“As a former White House Physician for 14 years, serving across three presidential administrations, and as the appointed physician for both President Obama and President Trump, I fully recognize the global importance of this assassination attempt against the former President and current Republican Nominee,” Jackson added.
“I want to assure the American people and the world that President Trump is recovering rapidly from the gunshot wound to his right ear,” Jackson stated in conclusion. “I will remain available to support President Trump and his personal physician in any manner they deem necessary and will provide updates as needed and permitted by President Trump.”
In an interview on Thursday with FOX Business’ ‘Kudlow,’ Jackson described Wray’s comments as “absolutely ridiculous,” suggesting that Trump might not have been struck by a bullet.
“Such statements undermine any credibility Wray may have had—particularly after years of using the FBI and DOJ against the president,” Jackson asserted. “It was indeed a bullet; I confirmed it by examining the evidence. There was a clear bullet track.”
Jackson also expressed support for the formation of a bipartisan House task force to investigate the attempt on Trump’s life.
“Currently, we lack confidence in the nation’s top law enforcement agency. If Wray is going to make such claims, he must provide substantial evidence to back them up,” Jackson said. “No fractured glass was found on the teleprompters or elsewhere.”
