The parents of Terrance Howard, a former Alabama football player who passed away recently, have accused medical personnel of attempting to kill their son for organ harvesting.
At just 19 years old, Howard was involved in a car accident in North Carolina in July. He received treatment for brain injuries at Atrium Health and was placed on life support.
Howard lost his life on August 1, leading his family to make severe allegations against the healthcare facility, as reported by the New York Post.
Bishop Anthony Allen, Howard’s father, asserted that medical staff “administered something in Terrance’s IV with the intent to harm.”
He stated in a video that surfaced on social media, “He was stable, and as soon as we prepared for his transfer, they intervened,” and showed other family members attempting CPR.

‘What they’re doing right now is unreal. His mother is trying to revive him… they indicated they would allow him to pass. We requested assistance from them, which they declined.’
He added, ‘They chose to let him die because he was alive, and they feared exposure.’
Meanwhile, Howard’s mother reportedly said, ‘They’re after his organs… that’s what I was told right from the start.’
In response to the allegations, Atrium issued a statement to NewsOne:
‘Federal privacy laws are stringent and prohibit us from addressing specific inquiries.’
‘What we can assert without question is that our medical professionals rank among the best in the nation and consistently take all reasonable precautions to safeguard and support the lives and health of all those in our care.’
The statement continued, ‘We extend our sincerest condolences in every tragic circumstance that our patients and their families face while grappling with their personal challenges.’
Howard transferred from Alabama – where he was a walk-on – to North Carolina Central
‘We also make it a priority to provide candid evaluations regarding each patient’s situation when communicating with family members, aiding them in navigating the suitable care options for their loved ones.’
Howard joined the Crimson Tide last season before deciding to transfer to North Carolina Central University.
Former high school coach Rick LaFevers recounted to KTRK Houston that Howard was en route to his new school during a rainstorm when the accident occurred.
LaFevers indicated Howard exited his vehicle to check on the other individuals involved when he was struck by a nearby car.
