Tottenham have set their sights on Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke as a key target ahead of the transfer window closing at the end of the month.

The 26-year-old is reportedly eager to advance his career by joining a European club to enhance his chances of making the England squad.

Bournemouth is not open to offers for Solanke, who is contracted with the club until 2027.

The existence of a £65m release clause is the only factor that might compel them to sell the former Liverpool player, who netted 21 goals in 42 appearances last season.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou mentioned last week that acquiring a forward is a “priority”.

“It’s still the position where we’re probably the weakest,” he commented.

Tottenham is also exploring other options, including Lille’s Jonathan David, and is considering bringing in a winger as well.

Richarlison’s future is in doubt due to speculation from clubs in Saudi Arabia, and Spurs are eager to secure another striker, irrespective of the Brazilian’s departure.

Forwards Bryan Gil and Alejo Veliz have already been loaned to Girona and Espanyol respectively for the season, but young talents like Dane Scarlett, Will Lankshear, Jamie Donley, and Mikey Moore are all vying for places in the squad.

This summer, Spurs have recruited midfielders Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray, winger Yang Min-hyuk, and have re-signed striker Timo Werner on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig.
