Arsenal: Leroy Sané
With David Raya’s loan from Brentford being made permanent and the addition of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna, Arsenal is close to finalizing a deal for Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad. The next priority for the club should be bolstering their attacking options. While they have shown interest in Pedro Neto and Nico Williams, targeting Leroy Sané would be a wise move. Having worked with Sané during their time at Manchester City, Mikel Arteta would appreciate the German’s versatility across the frontline. Last season, the 28-year-old ranked second in assists (11), ninth in key passes (72), and first in dribbles (93) in the Bundesliga.
Aston Villa: João Félix
Aston Villa has been very active in the transfer market this summer; however, with Moussa Diaby’s move to Al-Ittihad, they have a gap to fill in their attack. With the additional demands of Champions League football, Unai Emery will want to ensure that the squad has adequate depth in the attacking third. A versatile player who can play up front or in support of Ollie Watkins is crucial. João Félix finds himself at a pivotal stage in his career after wrapping up his loan with Barcelona. Given his strained relationship with Atlético Madrid, a summer transfer seems plausible. With Premier League experience from his recent stint at Chelsea and Jhon Durán also linked with a departure, the 24-year-old might see a move to Villa as the best option for reviving his career.
Bournemouth: Cameron Archer
Bournemouth has already made solid additions this summer, including the permanent signing of Enes Unal and young center-back Dean Huijsen from Juventus. Under Andoni Iraola, they have a well-rounded squad, typically making transfer market moves only to fill gaps left by departing players. With Dominic Solanke’s future in doubt due to links to Tottenham, Bournemouth may need to seek another striker. Cameron Archer could fit that role neatly. Although the 22-year-old just returned to Aston Villa after a year with Sheffield United, the club may entertain offers for him.
Brentford: Arthur Cabral
In February, Brentford announced the signing of Igor Thiago from Club Brugge for a club-record fee of £30m. Unfortunately, Thiago has sustained a meniscus injury during pre-season that will sideline him for several months. With Neal Maupay back at Everton after his loan and Ivan Toney rumored to be on the move, Brentford might need a short-term forward solution this month. Brazilian striker Arthur Cabral could be an ideal choice. He was Fiorentina’s leading scorer last season before his transfer to Benfica last summer. After Benfica bringing in Vangelis Pavlidis this year, Cabral may find game time limited. A move could be in the best interest of both him and the club.
Brighton: Ferdi Kadioglu
With Pervis Estupinan out indefinitely due to an ankle injury, Brighton might consider acquiring another left-back. The talented Turkish player Ferdi Kadioglu has emerged as a potential target, and rightly so. He was a standout performer for Turkey at Euro 2024, following up an impressive Super Lig season. Fenerbahce will be hesitant to part with the 24-year-old and will demand a significant fee. Manchester United and Arsenal have also shown interest in the versatile full-back, who would be a great asset for Brighton if they successfully negotiate with Fenerbahce.
Chelsea: Samu Omorodion
With Conor Gallagher set to join Atlético Madrid – a transfer that might not resonate well with Chelsea fans – Samu Omorodion may be on his way to Stamford Bridge. The 20-year-old, currently participating in the Olympics, was linked with a move to Chelsea earlier this summer, and the club may find Atleti more willing to negotiate now. The formidable striker netted the most counterattacking goals (four) in La Liga last season, while Chelsea managed only three in the Premier League. Could he provide the solution to their ongoing striker dilemma?
Crystal Palace: Maxence Lacroix
Crystal Palace boasts several sought-after talents. With Michael Olise already making a move to Bayern Munich and Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi attracting interest from various Premier League clubs, they may to reinvest in their squad should Guehi leave for Newcastle, who are confident about securing him for around £60m. In this scenario, Maxence Lacroix, a French defender with just one year left on his contract at Wolfsburg, could represent a clever acquisition, notably since the German side will not want to lose him for free next year. Lacroix’s ability to advance from defense and distribute passes effectively would make him a valuable addition if Guehi departs.
Everton: Kalvin Phillips
Everton is grappling with a significant gap in the midfield created by Amadou Onana’s exit to Aston Villa last month. Tim Iroegbunam has made the switch in the opposite direction, moving from Villa Park to Goodison Park, but the team is in need of further experience in the center. Although Kalvin Phillips had a tough loan stint at West Ham towards the end of last season, the former Leeds talent would still add value to Everton. An effective ball winner, he possesses the skills to thrive within a Sean Dyche framework. It’s vital for him to restore his reputation and work towards reclaiming his place in the England squad.
Fulham: Andre
Just as Everton lost a key player in Onana, Fulham has been hit hard following João Palhinha’s transfer to Bayern Munich. While they have made a significant investment to bring Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal, they still need to bolster their midfield options to adapt to Palhinha’s departure. Brazilian midfielder Andre has been on their radar for quite a while, yet a deal for the 23-year-old remains unsealed. Although he is not a direct replacement for Palhinha, Andre is not hesitant to challenge for the ball, as demonstrated by his average of 2.2 tackles per 90 minutes in the Brasileirão this season. Moreover, he excels on the ball, boasting the best passing success rate in the league (94.5%).
Ipswich Town: Jack Clarke
Ipswich has been proactive in the transfer window this summer but might still seek further reinforcements, especially after Nathan Broadhead sustained a hamstring injury that will keep him sidelined at the season’s start. Although he won’t require surgery, Broadhead will need time to reach peak form. His absence is a significant loss, given his importance during Ipswich’s promotion efforts. Jack Clarke emerged as a highlight for Sunderland last season as he netted 15 goals and led the Championship in dribbles (148).
