Striker Richarlison expressed his desire to remain at Tottenham Hotspur after rejecting an offer from Saudi Arabia.
The 27-year-old Brazilian forward joined Spurs from Everton in 2022 for a record-setting fee of £60m.
He has netted 15 goals across 66 matches with Tottenham, but was not a regular starter last season under manager Ange Postecoglou.
With a contract that runs until 2027, Richarlison has drawn interest from several clubs in Saudi Arabia, including one unidentified team that made a bid.
Nevertheless, he is keen to stay in England to enhance his prospects of continuing his international career with Brazil.
“There has been an offer, but my aspiration of playing for the Brazilian national team and in the Premier League is more significant,” Richarlison stated to ESPN Brazil, external.
Tottenham is actively pursuing a striker this summer and has set its sights on Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke as a potential addition.
However, the Cherries are eager to retain Solanke, who found the net 21 times in 42 matches last season but was not selected for England’s Euro 2024 squad.
He possesses a £65m release clause in his Bournemouth contract, which has three years remaining, but Tottenham assesses the striker’s worth at a lower figure.
