For the first time since both she and Josh Hall filed for divorce on July 7, Christina Hall has made a public statement.

On Thursday, the HGTV star used her Instagram story to address reports suggesting she was “blindsided” by her former husband’s choice to end their marriage.

“Here I am waiting for the usual Hired PR rep speech about how I was blindsided and how I’m focusing on myself and taking time to heal at my ranch… Meanwhile, I’m not being as quiet or nice as I used to be….” part of Hall’s Instagram story mentioned.

She went on to express, “I have worked tirelessly to establish this life for myself and my kids, and those who attempt to take what they haven’t earned should feel ashamed.”

Christina and Josh filed for divorce on July 7 in an Orange County, California court, as per documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

The “Flip or Flop” star and her estranged spouse sought a court for a marriage dissolution, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

While Josh, a realtor, indicated their separation date as July 8, Christina confirmed that they separated the day before, on July 7.

The former couple officially wed on October 6, 2021.

After filing for divorce earlier this month, Christina has accused her estranged husband of transferring $35,000 of her funds into his personal bank account following their divorce filing, according to court documents acquired by Fox News Digital.

In the filing, Christina noted: “On July 21, 2024, I discovered that on July 8, 2024, the day after I informed Josh about filing for dissolution, he contacted my professional property manager via text and said, ‘Hi. For June payments, can we please get it sent to a different account when it’s time? Thank you.’

“The phrase ‘can we please’ is misleading as I had no direct communication with Josh on July 8, 2024. I would not have requested him to send himself my money the day after I informed him about the divorce,” she further explained.

“Josh managed to redirect over $35,000 from my separate rental income into his account,” Christina alleged. “I am requesting that Josh account for these funds and return them to me, as they are earmarked specifically to cover any loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance tied to these rental properties.”

In the updated documents, Christina expressed she was “shocked and worried” by Josh’s actions the day after the divorce filing.

“The fact that this aligns with the date he now claims as our separation day, when in reality it’s July 7, 2024, illustrates the reason behind his choice of the next day,” she noted. “This makes me question what else I’m unaware of regarding his financial situation, which is why I’m insisting on a full forensic accounting for the entire length of our marriage.”

Christina further clarified that her ex “should not require” spousal support since he has his own income source.

“I recognize that at some stage this court may mandate I pay some spousal support to Josh and reasonable attorney fees for his legal counsel,” she expressed. “However, I believe this is a straightforward case with clear accounting over a brief duration, thus any fees and costs should be minimal.”

“Like all dedicated mothers, my priorities are my children and my career. I understand that Josh has his own source of income, so he shouldn’t need spousal support from me,” she added.
